As the son of Mexican celebrities Verónica Castro and Manuel "El Loco" Valdés, Cristian Castro was always destined to be a star himself. Soon after releasing his first album in the early '90s, the tabloid favorite hit the top of the Latin charts, and became an international teen idol. Even though he has spent the majority of his career firmly planted in the pop world singing heartfelt ballads, Castro has also released music that ranges from rock, to bolero, to even—surprisingly—heavy metal.
