King Tubby changed music with both the dub sound—bassy, lots of reverb—and the dub approach, which suggested that any song could be turned inside out. Contemporary roots reggae act Chronixx continue this mission with "Here Comes Trouble (Dub)," skillfully deploying echoed sound effects. The DJ Rusko, meanwhile, pushes it even further, dropping the bass and staggering the beat to usher in dubstep.
