    • 1. "Wolf Like Me" by TV on the Radio: "This is a just a great track. A good one to kick things off, anytime."
    • 2. "Down Boy" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs: "Yeah Yeah Yeahs just get better and better, Nick Zinner is one of my favourite guitar players, the video is good too."
    • 3. "Mirror Kissers" by The Cribs: "The best band out of the UK for a long time. Witty ideas and intelligent punk rock. Really good live too."
    • 4. "I Can't Stand It" by The Velvet Underground: "A really simple track. This is from my favorite period of the Velvet Underground, and from an album that had a big influence on me. This song shows just how unique Lou Reed and Sterling Morrison were as guitar players."
    • 6. "Dashboard" by Modest Mouse: "This was the first song I wrote with Isaac Brock when I joined Modest Mouse. We wrote it on the first night we got together so it was a good start. One hundred and sixty performances later I still like playing it."
    • 7. "A Simple Game (Single)" by The Four Tops: "Any Four Tops Best Of albums or anthologies . . . etc are fantastic from start to finish. All of their hits are so memorable, I could've picked any one of them."
    • 8. "Slow Emotion Replay" by The The: "We recorded this song in London in Winter 1992. I was in the band for four years, it was a special time. I think we captured something on this one, I got to play harmonica too."
    • 9. "Gimme Danger" by Iggy & The Stooges: "Raw Power has been my favorite album since I first got it and James Williamson is my favorite guitar player. It's everything a rock record can be. Great riffs, great singing. That's that."
