Hay,,, I deveras,, porque nunca pones '0' estrellitas,, ya que la selection de Itunes se lo merece...

WOW what a crappy selection of songs.

Who ever chose these songs has no knowledge of Mexican Culture and Music.. Horrible just Horrible

HORRIBLE selection of singers and songs for the Ranchera genre!!!

Whoever chose the songs for this "iTunes Essentials" list obviously knows very little of the REAL and WONDERFUL essentials in the "Ranchera" genre. First, how can they exclude the great LOLA BELTRÁN???!!! The consensus in Mexico is that SHE is the queen of “música ranchera.” Excluding her is like committing blasphemy: like excluding Madonna from an essentials list of English language pop music!!!! Instead they included the Mariachi Veracruz to sing her signature song “Cucurrucucú Paloma”??????!!!!!!!!!!

They also excluded AIDA CUEVAS, who is considered the BEST living female ranchera singer, and not to mention other essential singers like Las Hermanas Padilla, Las Jilguerillas, Beatriz Adriana, Yolanda del Río, Lucero, Flor Silvestre, Mercedes Castro, etc., who were also not included.

To top it off they include songs from other genres that are NOT ranchera, but rather part of the Banda and Duranguense genres, such as El Chapo de Sinaloa, Patrulla 81 and Los Horóscops de Durango. You can’t just NOT do your research and put ALL traditional-sounding Mexican music under the category of Ranchera!!!!

To make things worse they insult those of us who DO appreciate Ranchera music by including Luis Fonsi AND Shaila Dúrcal????!!!!!!! Why don't they also include Lady GaGa too while they're at it, since she mentions the word "Mexico" in her song Alejandro????!!!!! Where’s a bag so I can vomit????!!!!!!

PLEASE!!!!!... PLEASE people who run iTunes, inform yourselves before creating an “Essentials” list for Ranchera music!!!!!! Some of us are very proud of this music, and it’s an insult when the correct singers are not included. I could also go on about the selection of songs, but for now let’s work on putting the correct singers on this list.
