Shelby Lynne Essentials

Shelby Lynne got her start grabbing for Nashville's brass ring in the late ‘80s, cutting mainstream country without achieving much success. By the mid ‘90s, she'd abandoned commercial endeavors in favor of a jazzier, more idiosyncratic sound, and she headed to California to restart her career by blending pop, rock, and soul with her Americana roots. Ironically, she earned a GRAMMY® in 2001 for Best New Artist, despite her long career. Ultimately, Lynne has followed her muse wherever it leads, from a Dusty Springfield tribute record to a Christmas album.
