I'm a fan of Glee, hell I'm a fan of covers in general. I've loved Uptown Girl since I was a toddler, I sang it to my Barbies (while they were looking for work, in a montage set to my singing Uptown Girl, in my head), so is a big surprise that I love this version? I love that we are hearing some new voices that haven't been focused on before. Curt Mega does an excellent job as lead vocals on this song. Eddy Martin and Grant Gustin do great jobs with their solo lines. I loved the Warblers last season, and even though their breakout star (Darren Criss) is at McKinley, I'm so glad we revisited the Warblers. Hopefully they'll be back, and hopefully we'll see more Curt Mega solos (and some more Grant solos, because let's face it that man is ridiculously good looking)
An achievement within it self
Major props to Naya, Lea, Harry, and the Warblers! Since season 1, the singing has grown and changed so much. It's nice to hear Naya more often now, because she's my favorite singer on Glee, but hearing Lea hit those amazing high notes is such a great change of pace. Broadway is definitely her element. And what about those Warblers? They've grown so much since "Teenage Dream" and I'm loving it! And Darren is always amazing. Let's have soundtracks like this the rest of the season!
I thought this episode is about sex. And there isn't one sexy song in sight. . . mmmmh.
FINALLY a Rachel song! This was beginning to turn into the Mercede's show and it seriously annoyed me.
