Encouraging and Uplifting

I’m thankfully not a member of the ACL club but had Meniscus and ankle reconstruction from soccer injuries. This podcast address not only the physical but MENTAL side effects of surgery. I love the encouragement gained from this podcast in recovery and embracing my scars.

I stumbled across The ACL Club and Show Your Scars podcast as a recommendation from a friend who is a soccer coach. I’m a huge fan of the podcast and almost every time I finish listening it’s exactly what I’ve needed to hear.

Jordan has such a great perspective, outlook and wisdom on the injury. Its been so helpful, beneficial and provided an avenue of inspiration and tools to keep going during this long rehab.

Reminds you that your never alone! Must listen.

I’m 16 and I’ve torn my left acl twice. Halfway through my first recovery I discovered the ACL Club. I would listen to the podcasts while re-learning to jog on the alter-g. These individuals come from all walks of life, but who have sustained the same injury creates this great sense of community! Knowing that they have gone through this process, feeling the same high and lows as you makes you feel as though you are never alone. I have really leaned on these podcast while rehabbing my second acl tear as the mental side is much harder this time around. They have gotten me through some of my worst days! 10/10 would recommend not only for individuals who have suffered acl tears but anyone who is struggling with an injury, or anything at all. The universal message is clear we all hurt, we are never alone, and we will make it to the other side with a smile.
