Description

What is 4-Star General Stanley McChrystal’s biggest regret? How did Ann Muira-Ko go from photo copier to one of the "most powerful women in startups”? Why do Navy Seals meditate? And how angel investor Jason Calacanis turned $100K into $100Million. On Legends and Losers amazing people open up about what they learned from losing to become legendary. Eavesdrop on daring dialogues with entrepreneurs, technology leaders, authors, Superior Court judges, Super Bowl champions, terrorist negotiators and recovering alcoholics that are shaping our world. This show will spark your spirit, stoke your perseverance, make you love your failures, and forge your inner legend all while keeping you laughing. The salty language and whiskey-soaked mind of our host, Christopher Lochhead, really ties this “oddcast” together.

Laughs and Lessons from Legends

Imagine sitting in an IHOP at 2 am after the bars close when three legends in business sit down in the booth behind you. You can't see them but you are riveted by what you hear. They tell the good stories that didn't make the press release. They share the wins and loses and talk about what they learned. And you get to listen in. That is what the Legends and Losers Podcast is like. I love this podcast. The hosts Christopher and Collin are great and have on amazing guest. Tom Schwab - Interview Valet

No Losers Here!

Christopher and Colin have a rare combo of great chemistry and great content. The guests are fantastic and the conversations are real, raw and pull no punches! Great job guys!

What makes a good podcaster?

Dreamers flock to Silicon Valley from all over the world in search of the kind of life my friend Christopher has lived.

Christopher was a misfit. He was underestimated by almost everyone, including himself. People jumped to the conclusion he was not smart because he is dyslexic.

My quirky friend does not read the world the way the rest of us do, so it stands to reason that the reverse holds true: he reads the world in ways the rest of us cannot.

Maybe this would explain his serial success in selling companies and retiring really young, then co-authoring a book (that I truly found valuable) published by Harper Collins titled “Play Bigger”.

The central premise of his book, and maybe his life, is that you need to define who you are before others do it for you.

Define who you are and you get to call the shots.

Christopher’s latest venture is a brand new podcast called “Legends and Losers”. The show is true to his character: voracious, exciting, outrageous and intelligent.

Christopher recently had me on as a guest and very quickly made me forget I was on a podcast. Instead he made me feel we were in his study late at night drinking whiskey and pondering life. (I don’t drink but could hear his glass clinking.)

On his show we toasted to my Dad, a whiskey drinker. We talked about how necessary it is to be a loser if you ever want to be legendary, how to eliminate competition by being different rather than better, and why in martial arts he forever wants to be a white belt.

For all his life force and charisma my favorite thing about Christopher is that he is a deeply decent human. I can’t imagine a better podcaster: life experience that is real, perspective that is real, and a conversation that feels so intimate it doesn’t occur to you someone might be eavesdropping.
