Customer Reviews
unique access to top entrepreneurs. very cool, even for guys
Having worked in the digital advertising space between '08 and ’15 , Linkshare and later Rakuten Linkshare were household names to me. That said, I hadn’t heard the founders’ story - and to have such candid and unscripted access to the exited founder, Heidi Messer, was a pretty unique surprise. I really think her unique macro view of big data and its potential manifestations across market verticals is visionary, and will no doubt continue to inspire disruption. Her goal of providing the leg up to female entrepreneurs echoes what the numbers are showing in terms of the relationship between female angels and female founders. As my generation of women continues the fight to earn the equal dollar for equal work, those numbers will continue to shift toward a broader equality (see what i did there?). Now I’m keeping my eye out for the follow up as to which BroadMic listener actually gets the first chair at the poker tourney - let me know if you need a dry comic, entrepreneur (male) bartender! Great production, music and professional quality recording. I’ll be back for more.
Learned A Lot, Now I want to start my own business
I know this podcast is marketed towards women, but I listened to the first three episodes and now I feel like creating a startup is more attainable now than before. Loved the host, felt like I was a fly on the wall of a great conversation, and the music/production was fantastic. I’ve been humming the tune all day, can’t wait to hear more!
Must listen for all entrepreneurs
What's interesting about BroadMic is that while it features women entrepreneurs, it's not about being a woman so much as being an entrepreneur. The first interview with Heidi Messer is really interesting story about how to sell ideas that are not yet mainstream (she talks about how no one believed in the Internet in the 90s...fascinating) and a must listen for ALL entrepreneurs - male or female. Can't wait to hear the rest!
