Description

The Betchelor is a Bachelor recap podcast presented by social producer Kay Brown of Betches Media and former Bachelorette heartthrob and Bachelor in Paradise winner Derek Peth. This weekly podcast follows the latest episodes and makes fun of all the ridiculous things the contestants say and do – because honestly, why else watch the show if not for the commentary? For more info check out weekly recaps from Bachelor alums at Betches.com or their Instagram, @betchelorpodcast.

Meh.

Rarely do these women offer anything insightful or even funny. They’re constantly misremembering facts about the show and trash talking, seemingly just for the sake of being mean. ‘Bachelor Party’ on the Ringer Network and ‘Here to Make Friends’ from Huff Post are way more fun to listen to if you’re looking for feminist + intelligent recaps.

Derek’s good, but not the girl

Derek offers a good perspective of the show, and provides good insight into what it’s really like to be part of it. I don’t think Kay contributes much to the conversation. She doesn’t add anything of value and is boring.

Are they getting paid for not knowing anything?

It’s incredibly frustrating to listen to these people give incorrect information. Every episode there are several times where they say things that aren’t true, mix up names or just give completely wrong information. If you’re going to put on a whole podcast about a show you should probably pay a little more attention to it and actually prepare instead of acting like you don’t care to watch the show at all. Not worth listening to.
