You know those conversations you have at the bar after a long day of tech? The moments where you sit with your friends and colleagues and discuss what you love about being a designer, but also what drives you mad? Imagine getting to listen in on those conversations with some of the most fascinating, celebrated, and sought after theatrical designers working today. From life on the road to life in a Broadway theatre....from trying to get noticed in New York to making a splash in regional theatre. Hosted by real life (we think) designer Cory Pattak, in 1: the podcast offers unprecedented access into the world of theatrical design, direct from the industry’s most interesting movers and shakers. All the world’s a stage, so draw back the curtain and come meet the magic makers who bring those worlds to life.

Great Fun!

What a great idea for a podcast! I look forward to more.

Such a big fan

I am loving all of the conversations. I am always happy when a new episode is released, and all of the conversations are frank and honest. It goes between talking about the art and the process fluidly. It talks about all of the important things you need to remember outside of the theatre bubble. While it feels NY and Broadway centric, it's not. I know Cory is busy but I wish there were a more consistent release schedule, but he's great and his conversations are long so you can forgive that. I'd be fine if he didn't try to keep a once a week schedule, but just say that there's one or two episodes a month and have them scheduled to release on the 1st and 15th. they're long enough to stand a longer release window, I just want to know I can keep expecting it.

A must listen

If you are in design or technical theater this is a must listen. You will start listening and not want to stop.
