Trainwreck of a podcast

I thought this 'cast would have potential, the concept is strong. However it's the execution of the concept which counts and here this podcast is an epic fail. I listened from the first episode "jimmies" through to about the tenth episode.

1.Responses to questions seem to not be researched in the least. Everything is off the cuff. For example to the question "are calling chocolate sprinkles jimmies racist" the guest and the host rely on pure speculation. And they missed the obvious: The "Jim" Crow law which set "separate but equal" racial policy in the US. There's also Twain's "N* Jim" in Huck Finn. But the best the host and gues could come up with is that "Jimmy" sounds diminutive so that might be a problem, and that black men refer to their "jimmy" when refering to their penises. The take away: "Hey we're not sure if its racist, you're guess is as good as ours." Fail.

2. They offer lots of criticism of white folks who use the n word, ramble on and fail to stay on point. This is across many episodes. I happen to agree with the host's point of view, but i'ts BORING to hear over and over again and doesn't educate me in the least.

3. Too much cursing. I listen to comedy podcasts that have a decent amount of cursing and mature content- The Nerdist for example. I'm not a prude. But there is so much cursing by the host that he comes off as an amatuer. Seems like he has little of substance to say, so instead he curses out straw men, and some of the callers who posed the question of the "day's" cast.

4. Insults the callers. And not in a funny way. So why would I want to call in? So the tone of my voice can be insulted? So the signal quality of my phone can be insulted? So that the truth of the situation I am describing is doubted and I'm put down as being untruthful? This is Ridiculous! And again NOT FUNNY and NOT ENTERTAINING and NOT CLEVER.

I could list more, but I've already wasted enough of my time on this 'cast.

Don't waste YOUR time on this sad excuse for a "socially relevant" podcast.

Great Show

Yo Is This Racist takes a very serious subject and lets you laugh... at racists, of course! I really appreciate how Ti gives folks what they want but rarely get - a way to deal with racism in daily life, a way to blow off steam, and a way to casually learn about how something like racism can creap into your life and how to deal with it. You could read 50 great books on racism but never find how to deal with your racist grandpa at family reunions.

Looking how the review page here has changed recently, it looks like the show is getting crashed by Goons, /b/tards (apologies for the slur, that is what they call themselves) or another group with time on their hands and lulz to get.

Disappointed by this show. It sounds lazy. The host doesn't sound like he put much thought into the planning nor production. First time Earwolf has let me down. W. Kamau Bell's approach to Totally Biased is an example of how this type of show is done well.
