Reshaping my Concept of Service
All around my I hear people, myself included, saying that they want to change the world, make it better, tackle the big problems and injustices and hatred that we see around us. And so many of us feel helpless, burned out, confused, and unprepared to actually do this work. Andrea Ranae is changing the way I think about service and "making a difference". I took her Coaching as Activism course, which was truly life-changing in so many ways and has altered the way that I am approaching my coaching business and all my other relationships in ways I could not have imagined. This podcast is a brilliant introduction to her approach of asking the questions we often fly over in our eagerness to get stuff done. She asks the questions that seem obvious, but aren't because of our societal conditioning. I have listened to each episode twice, and taken notes. At 44 years old I am learning a new way to be in the world and I am forever grateful. Dive deep into this work, you will not regret it.
Necessary and Beautiful Medicine
Andréa's vision is like no other I've seen, or in this case, heard. Her commitment to humanity and creating a new way of being in relationship with each other is evident in all she does, and her podcast is a beautiful example of her work and her spirit. Her exploration with herself and her guests goes way beyond formulaic, easy answers to the true depth, meat, and life of each moment and opportunity. She honors the roots of her ancestors and teachers while at the same time creating something completely new.
ACTS is not to be missed
I can’t recommend Andréa highly enough. She’s an amazing teacher who has taught me so much through her work here, in Coaching as Activism, and beyond. And when you listen to this podcast you’ll get to know her as an exceptionally bright, warm, and authentic woman who puts her values into action and expertly shares her wisdom to help you do the same.
