Amazing Podcast

Great information! Amber does a amazing job giving details. Sound quality is A1 :-)

Mental Health Survivor & Founder

I loved "Loaded Topics" it gave me life! It's so very refreshing to hear mental health and black people in one breath. I'm the mother of an openly gay son so I understand the challenges of finding a competent and culturally sound psych professional. I'm a caregiver for him as well. I appreciate psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, counselors and other psych professionals of color who are able to bring the unique vantage point to the patient/doctor relationship in our community. I was the product of failed and poorly informed not culturally sound psych professionals giving poor advice that didn't consider my cultural influences. I thought something was wrong because I wasn't responding to treatment. A culturally sound psych professional makes a big impact on a patients success and learning new coping skills.

The podcast about being a Black Therapist was just impactful. We can enjoy your transparency and honesty. Thank you. I'll be sharing!

Great informative podcast

Thank You Dr. Your podcast was extremely informative and helpful. I am currently an undergraduate student, with a major in psychology. I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue with the major in graduate school, but you are a true example of how important/necessary it is to have more black psychologists in this field. Thank you for providing so much information in your second podcast. It not only helped me figure out my next academic moves, but it also helped me figure out what type of psychologist I would like to be in the black community. Thank you again. 💐
