Great

Phenomenal! If you want the ultimate inside baseball about punk and psych, this is it. Absolutely stellar for amateurs and experts alike - I can comment from both perspectives:

I was out of my depth with psych and found it a little hard to follow sometimes, but stayed on for the tremendous stories (they get better as the episodes go on!) Discovered countless, terrific new psych bands on the way.

I was not out of my depth on punk. Marc and Rob are a bit weak on the Americans (especially American Hard Core - Bad Brains aren't underrated over here, mate!) but they give the clearest sense of the English scene as to be found anywhere. Absolutely stellar.

Highly, highly recommend. Already planning to listen to the whole thing again!

Fast-paced and jammed with information

I loved these on Marc’s regular show, so I’m really glad the BBC made them available as a podcast. Do yourself a favor and listen—you’ll learn a lot, and I promise you’ll never be bored!

Must listen!

I’ve been listening to these on Marc Riley’s regular BBC 6 radio show and have learned much while jamming to the tunage. If you love music and want to understand the roots of new wave, goth, grunge, electronic, and so much more, have a listen.
