A podcast for the modern day Asian American woman hosted by Melody Cheng, Helen Wu, and Janet Wang. We started this podcast as an outlet for topics we are interested in, and for sharing stories we have as 20-30 something yr. old Asian American women working, dating, and living in Los Angeles. It's no secret that Asian women are lacking in almost all media outlets. As three women working in finance, tech, and production who balance careers, life aspirations, and eventful social lives (we have our fair share of 5am returns from the club), we hope our perspectives can help, inform, and entertain those girls (and guys) with similar backgrounds or an interest in our backgrounds. We like to think of this as our invitation for you to join our once private girl talk sessions! So grab a glass of wine and let's get this show started ;)
||ExplicitEpisode 12: Labor of Love||As a natural progression from our last episode, we think it is fitting to talk about…BABIES! ||ExplicitEpisode 7: ABBBG - Asian Beauty, Boobie, and Booty Goals||As Asian women, we typically feel pressures to conform to society’s westernized beauty standards based on gender and race. Informative, dodging the dull bullet.
Enjoyed the first episode, their agenda is to bring a sense of awareness to asian women and their presence and perhaps lack of presence in some industries, as well as the struggles they face, they to keep it fun too, great banter between the three.
Sassy, Real & Refreshing
As a non Asian male I have to say this is def a podcast channel everyone should give a try. Three Asian females discussing many topics and bringing awareness to the fact that there isn’t much representation of themselves in big name industries. They are discussing everyday situations by using personal experience which differs from the next woman. They keep it fun and real, and it’s very refreshing to listen to.
Favorite new podcast
To be honest, I don’t listen to podcasts. When you hardly see Asian women being represented, it’s always encouraging and intriguing to hear them especially from women your age/ethnicity. I love the topics they covered thus far and find the girls extremely relatable and personable. It’s almost like having an older sister/mentor. Looking forward to future releases 💛
