Description

Jermaine Exum and Stephen Mayer have 3 Eisner nominations and 20 years of comic retail experience between them. They can't unsee any of the things they've witnessed from their side of the counter, but they can turn them into funny stories for you to enjoy. As the flagship show of the Acme Wave Projector podcast network, the guys bring you interviews with top comics professionals, reviews of the new books each week and informed, thoughtful discussions of the latest comics news.

Customer Reviews

Great podcast!! Great store!!

I have been shopping at Acme Comics for 25 years and the store is awesome. The employees are great to work with and are extremely informed and experienced in all things comic book related. Their podcast is great and usually has a killer guest, detailed reviews and discussions on new comics out that week.

Finally! A podcast for me and people like me

This podcast is awwwwwesome! Not only is it apparent that these guys have a passion for the industry, but the interviews with comic book creators and artists are fascinating. The conversations are always very enlightening and often quite humorous. Recommended to anyone with an interest In comic books. My only suggestion is MORE VALERIE!!!

Great talk from the comics retailers POV

Jermaine and Stephen (and their rotating on mic crew), of the excellent comic shop, Acme Comics, in Greensboro, NC, talk comics from an often unheard perspective, that of the people selling them. There are comics reviews and discussion of comics' current events, but the real point of distinction, and what I enjoy most, is when their know-how and experience as retailers informs the conversation, how a book's content or a current event affects their jobs or how they do their job in response to those things. When they engage in "real talk" I do some real listening.
