This is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.C.A.S.T., Film Geek Radio’s weekly podcast all about the new ABC television series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Join Andrew Johnson, Gwen Reyes, William Bibbiani, Rod Morrow and special guests every week for an episode-by-episode analysis of the new show from Marvel and Joss Whedon. Together, they’re the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, Critical Analysis Strike Team — yeah, we really wanted the name to spell out S.H.I.E.L.D.C.A.S.T. With a panel of co-hosts comprised of both professional critics and comics enthusiasts, this is a podcast for every type of fan!

A WINNER IS YOU!
I recently started watching Agents of SHIELD from the beginning and I was looking for a good companion podcast to the show. I tried several AoS podcasts on iTunes until I found this one and it's by far the best. I'm nearly caught up on both the TV show and the podcast and this will continue to be appointment listening for me going forward. Keep up the great work, team. Terrific stuff.
Awesome show!
Not having a new episode last week made me realize how much I enjoy listening to this podcast every week & miss it when it's not there, so I thought I better rate & review to share my love. The hosts have great chemistry and well thought out discussions about every episode! I especially love that Gwen is a part of the cast because it's hard to find podcasts about things I love with a female voice.
Skip this one for season 2
I started out really liking this podcast because it had a good roundtable discussion of each episode. Rod is awesome as the true Marvel fan. But this podcast grew to have a very negative spin on the show as it went along, nitpicking every episode to the point that if you like the show you end up thinking you might be an idiot.
Case in point (spoilers ahead) Andrew was saying the final scene between Fitz and Simmons was lame because they should have just waited longer to be rescued from the box at the bottom of the sea, and that it didn't feel like they were out of options....when at the beginning of that scene Simmons says they have to hurry because there needs to be enough oxygen left in the box to create the explosion. An obvious plot point that lead to 10minutes arguing on this podcast.
I listen to lots of review podcasts for shows and movies, and usually there are negative reviews in with the positive...but as a fan of a TV show, I don't bother searching out extra info on a show unless I am a fan and want to break it down In more detail. I haven't really ever listened to a podcast where the reviewers actually dislike the show so much. Sorry, but i won't be back to listen next year - Rod needs to find some true fans to do this podcast with next go around - bring back HydraCast!
