All Movie Talk is a fun weekly podcast that's all about the movies. Your hosts, Stephen and Sam, will discuss movie-related topics each week, taking an alternately serious and silly tone with the material. Topics include overviews of the great directors, upcoming DVD releases, unsung classics, and movie-themed humor.

Great stuff

Man, I don't even really like movies that much, but I like this podcast. Give it a try, these guys deliver.

Not Your Typical Movie Critics

Even if you don't consider yourself a movie buff, you will find this podcast interesting and informative. While displaying an impressive knowledge of cinematic topics, Sam and Stephen manage to keep their banter at a conversational level that's easy to follow along with, and even participate in via the All Movie Talk blog site. If you have even an inkling of an interest in film, this is the podcast for you.

Good, when focusing on movies...

For the most part, this is a good movie podcast. Both hosts have a great deal of knowledge, and the show has a nice balance of history, criticism, technical discussion, and opinion. Unfortunately, the hosts are not funny and have terrible delivery. This can range from mere flat jokes and impressions (particularly in their openings), to off-putting and condescending snark (including a "review" of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer given a week before the movie premiered and without either host even seeing the film). There is a glut of movie podcasts that focus on unintelligent, uniformed (but often very funny) riffing and All Movie Talk has plenty to offer that these shows cannot. However, the increasing reliance on humor hurts AMT by focusing on the hosts' weakness and ignoring the aspects that make the show unique.
