Great Podcast on Writing Fiction!

I absolutely love this podcast. I'm biased, I'll admit that. I've been a fan of Holly's for years. No one teaches writing better than she does. She has this way of breaking things down and making them very clear, very understandable AND in a way that gets you excited about writing. She also talks about methods and ideas I've never seen anywhere else - and I have read many MANY craft books. So of course, I was already going to love this podcast. As an added bonus, her daughter interviews her. The fun of it is that while Holly is a seasoned writer (over 30 traditionally published novels and tons non-fiction articles and essays and craft classes) her daughter is much newer to writing (though not a beginner). So her questions tend to reflect the questions I would have were I to be the one talking to Holly. It works really well. And while they do discuss their own projects and stories, I don't think you need to be familiar with them to get good solid writing advice from someone who's an expert in the craft. I'm really picky about podcasts and only listen to a few on a regular basis - but this one has me checking and re-checking to see if a new episode is up yet. It's just that good.

A fun time between new and experienced!

Often we are given only one perspective of any given topic, whether it be from the fire-forged expert or the emerald green amateur. With this podcast, listeners are presented with the unique chance to hear from both sides of the field, finding the middle ground that any aspiring writer can relate to. The relationship between the two writers doesn’t muddle the content but instead enhances the interaction with spurts of personal stories and shared experiences intermingled within serious topics, keeping the content fresh and engaging. I’m looking forward to future podcasts and the adventures these two amazing people take us on!

So Wonderful!
