This is the best in conservative thought

This compilation podcast brings you the best conservative thinking in an easily digestible format. From great book excerpts to Dennis Praeger, to speeches from world shakers, ACU is like a masters course in conservative logic, without any of the acrimony that's so off-putting these days.

American conservatism at its best

If we could sent a few iPods back in time to the late 18th Century and put them in the hands of George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison, this would be among the podcasts they would be sure to enjoy. The commentators & authors featured on this podcast represent some of the most thoughtful, reality-based political commentary to be found today in the USA. You won't find ad hominem attacks here, nor will you have to listen to arguments based on sentiment or nostalgia. You also won't encounter blind adulation of the Republican Party or of current GOP office-holders. Irving Kristol once defined a conservative as "a liberal who has been mugged by reality." My major mugging occurred on September 11, 2001. Since then, I have spent much of my spare time poring through the classics of conservatism (i.e. The Federalist Papers, Witness, The Conservative Mind, Up From Liberalism, Road to Serfdom, Free to Choose). I've probably read enough to earn a B.A. degree in this subject. I think of this podcast as a Graduate Seminar in advanced conservative thinking.

Listen and Learn

You may not agree with all the views expressed or how they are articulated but you will expand your understanding of current events, politics, and social issues. Topics are wide-ranging and there are many different views expressed. It is conservative but it doesn't pretend to be non-partisan like some main-stream media. If you are looking for a smorgasboard of conservative thought on many different issues, this is the place to listen.
