Elise Moore and David Fiore aspire to cover every time travel film ever made (in this continuum, at least). Together, we'll dive deeply and dialogically into this eternally compelling genre. Our discussions will draw from philosophy, psychology, anthropology, history, narratology, and aesthetic theory. We'll even do our best to get physics-al, when the films demand it. It's an ode to paramours and paradox by two people who really give a flux. We hope you'll come along for the ride.

Customer Reviews

Clever, interesting and in-depth.

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this podcast somewhat by accident, but I'm glad I did. If you’re interested in lengthy, more-than-surface-level discussion of film in general, this would be a good listen for that reason alone. Even more so if you have an affinity (and you certainly should) for the somewhat wide-ranging time travel/displacement genre.

I'm glad to find there are other people who love this genre like I do, and are motivated enough to do a podcast like this one. I'm also very pleased that the hosts are highly knowledgable, funny, quick-witted, and interesting to listen to. I’m really enjoying it.

Worth your time - omg! Get it?

I have listened to 8 episodes of Another Kind of Distance and I have a few more to go, but that's already at least 16 plus hours of content that allows me to be in the position to state that I thoroughly enjoy this podcast.

The format of the show covers the entirety of the movie(s) mentioned in the title - almost a necessity when discussing a time travel film. So, I do plan to come back to skipped episodes once I have seen said film.

It doesn't hurt that hearing both Elise and David is like listening to the good friends you never had because something in this timeline prevented you from ever meeting - until now!

Fun, Insightful, and Thought Provoking

Where I come from, this is considered one of the most influential podcasts of the early 21st Century.
