Melrose Scouting Podcast presents "Around The Scouting Campfire", a podcast which features Boy Scout and Cub Scout related topics. This podcast from the scoutmaster of Troop 68 includes audio bits featuring the Boy Scouts and adult leaders of Troop 68 during the last twenty-five years. This podcast is hosted by Scoutmaster Steve and Buttons, the radical Boy Scout, who share their thoughts about the great adventure we call Scouting. Topics include songs for "Around the Campfire", "Buttons' Corner", and the Scout Leader Minute. We appreciate your comments, so please leave one. This podcast is not an official podcast of the Boy Scouts of America. It is the personal podcast of a scoutmaster and his opinions are that of his own.

First Review!!!

Wow I'm the first review. Steve does a great job with this podcast. I like the format. I enjoy that he brings in Buttons. I haven't listened to any other scouting podcasts that include characters. Most are the boring blah blah this and that stuff format. Not Steve!. Steve Please don't drop buttons from the opening. I know it's hard to get going, but it really is appreciated.

Another quality podcast from the PTC Media family...

This one is a great format with Steve interacting with Buttons the Radical Boyscout. All the shows on the PTC Network are family friendly, but this one (along with the video contributions of Melrose Scouting Productions) are the ones that the youth themselves will find the most enjoyable. And while they don't know it, they're learning something too!

An Update Since First Review....

UPDATED: #10 was just released and this show is catching a wave! Scout songs, helpful hints and old time Scoutmaster minutes. Plus Buttons! Scouts and Scouters alike need to listen to this one! OLD REVIEW: As a new Scoutmaster I look at all available resources and this one is on the short list of must listens! Great insight and even greater laughs, this podcaster and his sidekick will not only give you ideas to help your Scouting program but also rekindle the spirit of the Great Scoutmaster. oh and the strange looks title? I find myself singing along whenever a good old Scout song breaks out. Of course I am usually on my commute and surrounded by traffic :)
