||CleanMountain I||Last week, I put out a request on Facebook for tracks about mountains. So many artists responded that the original idea became a three part series. The reason for the request is that I wanted to get your help celebrating the move to our forever home in||2/16/2019||Free||View in iTunes|

||CleanGlass||With only a single entry for this week's "Harmonium" challenge, we draw heavily on the RadioSpiral library this week for a program inspired by glass in many states. For the “Harmonium” challenge, artists were to take glass sounds (struck, rung, sun||1/26/2019||Free||View in iTunes|

||CleanThe Long Dark||Next week, the 29th of December, is the winter challenge episode (so send in your tracks!). ||CleanWest||This weekend, At Water’s Edge is back at the western edge of the U.S., and the program today reflects that, with music that spans two decades and thousands of miles. It’s beautiful here in Southern California (now that the fires have come under cont||12/8/2018||Free||View in iTunes|
||CleanSunset, Sunrise||This week on At Water’s Edge, another challenge episode! Similar to the M2m (Major to minor) challenge, the artists were to start with something dark, and then shift it to light by the end, or vice-versa… Five artists stepped up to the challenge||12/1/2018||Free||View in iTunes|
I’ve always loved the mysterioso style (in the original Italian sense) with its haunting, remote quality. Ever since I was a small boy standing in the cold wind (to the vexation of my mother), watching the sun set, and hearing the horns of the trains sound far off. The uncanny feeling at crossroads, the numinous feeling when I hear a dog barking in the distance on a frosty night. I’m lucky to be living now when so many musicians, perhaps inspired by Wendy Carlos's Sonic Seasonings, are composing these long-form orchestrations, soundscapes which are really tone poems of deep reflection. And Rebbekah Hilgraves gathers them all together in one place. As a bonus, she weaves them together into a unique tapestry that will take you away from the tedious bounds of mundane reality.
