In my totally biased opinion this is the best podcast I've heard this hour.

Not Bad...

for a bunch of basement dwelling neck-beards...

Just like College!

These guys are obviously not professional broadcasters. This is not a bad thing.

This podcast is (usually) a discussion of oddball news items, nostalgic toys, games, and other childhood obsessions, and musings on life from several different viewpoints. I love that these guys go out of their way to try to keep up an alias, but that, when they fail, they brush it all off like it never happened; it gives the whole thing an air of authenticity that some podcasts never really achieve.

Instead of bemoaning their lack of a professional status, it's become a running joke. Their constant claims of CONSUMATE PROFESSIONALISM, usually brought up during times of considerable topic drift, puts the truth to their lie: these guys have known each other for years. They claim to be crushingly poor, which makes their podcast, somehow, even better to listen to. If you didn't have a metal Voltron statue as a kid, but you wanted one, you know where these guys are coming from.

All in all, it's as if you've invited four or five friends over for a few beers. The moderator, Trog, does his even-headed best to herd these cats in the proper direction, with varying levels of success. I'd suggest starting with episode #18. it's their Xmas episode, where they discuss what to give a faithful Christian ("Jeruselem," comes back from the cast).

They are irreverant, somewhat irrelevant, often off-topic, and usually awesome.
