Description

For more than 30 years the American Theatre Wing has been bringing together performers, directors, playwrights, designers, choreographers, producers and behind-the-scenes personnel from the American and international theatre, the seminars offer a rare opportunity for students and audiences to see the people who create theatre engaged in thoughtful conversation with one another. With more than 600 past guests, the seminars have become an unequalled archive of theatrical talk, a chance to hear from the people behind the characters, stories and productions that draw us to the theatre.

Eccelent

I'm reccomending this podcast to all my peers from my high school. I went to a performing arts high school for Theatre, and as a soon-to-be college student I really enjoy the in-depth seminars. Its very fulfilling and enriching as an artist to watch these, I learned so much from the most recent seminar on directing. It is definitely worth waiting for the download.

Excellent Resource for Broadway Theatre

I have now watched a dozen of the episodes and love them! My only complaint is that some of the moderators; especially Pia Lindstrom, seem ill-prepared and a bit over-wordy. This aside, I am learning a great deal regarding the inner process of creating theatrical works.

Top-Notch

Really excellent series. The panels are truly made up of some of the most intriguing artists currently working and the moderators are always very sharp with well-planned and interesting questions. The discussions go to a very advanced place very quickly but never get inaccessible. Highly recommended!
