There are a lot of really important topics that we need to talk about - things like whether or not a god exists, if science and religion are compatible, and how to understand Christianity apart from all of our American additions. In this podcast, we’re going to discuss difficult, controversial, and deep questions in order to hopefully find some answers.

Exceptional Walkthrough
Matt DeLockery does a fine job walking persons through the historical basis and context of the Biblical narrative. His simple reviews on the cultural knowledge which we have of how society functioned in Jesus' day, and how that world compares to ours today, will aid any listener in understanding the parables of Jesus and the words of the Biblical writers as they spoke to the societies that they dealt with. Fine and quick enough to the point, I've been waiting for the interviews to begin so that interaction between mature Christian minds would occur, making the entire experience more enjoyable by engaging in healthy dialogue on the ideas shared on the podcast. And now the interviews are coming! If you're a seeker, a young Christian just trying to explore what all is in the faith, or an older Christian, I definitely recommend this podcast for you!
Useful resource for critically examining Christianity
DeLockery offers a thoughtful perspective on biblical texts, history, and culture. He is clear and concise while sticking to laymen's terms. He won't talk over your head, and he won't assume you are incapable of thinking. His content is interesting and tends to go off the beaten path. Matt DeLockery is definitely a worthwhile conversation partner.
Love it!
I have thoroughly enjoyed Conversations with Matt. I am just a girl looking to know more about Jesus and His Word and this podcast provides exactly that. Although, it could appeal to anyone as each episode is very much like a history lesson. I have learned things that I don't think I would have learned without this podcast and it prompts me to read Scripture in a different light. Matt explains everything in a way that anyone can understand. Each episode is relatively short in length and easy to listen to on a drive to work, school, or running errands. Love it. Thanks Matt!
