Back To One is a podcast about acting. In each episode, host Peter Rinaldi invites one working actor to do a deep dive into their unique process, psychology, and approach to the craft. No small talk, no celebrity stories, no inane banter—just the work.

Vulnerable and Thought Provoking

I love that these interviews allow for the guest to share with vulnerability their experiences, insecurities, wisdom, and insights that have come with their acting process. The guests’ reveal human moments in their work as well as how their work has raised issues around gender, body image, etc. Can’t wait till the next episode.

Organic Conversations with Great Actors

While there's only been two episodes so far, I can say that this is a great start. Nuanced conversations with true craftspeople; a nice break from the usual superficial stuff that's out there. Kudos to Filmmaker Magazine & host Peter Rinaldi.

Relaxed, conversational and entertaining as hell!

What I like most about Rinaldi’s interviews, other than the fact that he interviews genuine actors, not stars per se, is that you feel as if you are listening to two people talk in between ordering food at a restaurant. Very natural. Rinaldi is a good listener and doesn’t appear to rely strictly on his notes, but follows up the actor’s response with a genuine thought, with genuine interest, with an idea that naturally came to him while listening to the actor. I think anyone who appreciates acting, knows how brutal and wondrous a life it is, will be very entertained listening to each actor’s process. As for actor’s, this podcast is essential listening as it get’s right into the bone marrow of the miraculous life they have chosen. Really worth a listen. Very much worth your time.
