New mommy life saver

Wow I don’t even know where to begin on how much I love this podcast. My son is 16 months old and my first, and exclusively nurses. It’s been a crazy journey of just him and I trying to figure this out with no bottles because he refused them. I wish that I would have discovered this podcast from the very beginning because every single episode I have listened has impacted me tremendously. I don’t have a ton of support from my extended family and have heard every reason for me stop breastfeeding. He is too old, if he can ask for it he needs to stop nursing, give him formula to make him sleep longer, he needs to be drinking (cows) milk etc.... It is crazy to me that people have so many negative comments about something so amazing I am doing for my son. So it’s easy to doubt myself, until I starting listening to this podcast. I know it sounds cheesy but you two have really empowered me. Making me dig down to my real feelings, not to question my mommy instinct. Such a game changer and I love you guys, I am telling every new mom I know to give you ladies a listen! Thank you for giving us mommas a resource for information that will only benefit our breastfeeding journey, it has literally been a life saver ❤️

Peace of mind

I’ve been breastfeeding my son for a little over 2 years and while I wish I had this podcast when he was first born I’m still glad I found it (been listening for at least 6months). I had a fairly simple breastfeeding experience. It was mostly go with the flow except for minor concerns. Listening to these two wonderful ladies and thinking back so many things make sense! The biggest breastfeeding hardships have been lately as he’s now a toddler and people judge the fact that we are still breastfeeding but Dianne and Abby put my mind at ease with the decision I am taking. Thank you sooo much for all you realness and encouragement.

You guys rock!

I was introduced to this podcast by another breastfeeding momma in one of my support groups. She shared the pace feeding episode with our group and I immediately was hooked! I’m a nurse and while in nursing school I did my senior assignment on breastfeeding and just how our society perceives it. I knew this was something I would want to be able to do for my children, however I just didn’t realize the struggles I would face with it one day! I received little to no education in the hospital and was thrown a nipple shield and pretty much was left to defend for myself! With the education I received most moms would have give up in a heartbeat however after some determination, stubbornness and one hell of a supportive husband I refused to give up! I took a breastfeeding class in the hospital but didn’t learn anything I didn’t already know from nursing school! After multiple visits with a different hospital lactation consultation , seeking help from other outside lactation consultants (which cost a pretty penny) and a little bit of help from a chiropractor we’ve been nipple shield free since my now 5 month old daughter was 7 weeks old! This podcast is so helpful and I wish I would have found it sooner! There is so much misinformation out there and it just makes my heart sad! I have found a new passion for something and one day hope to be able to help new mommas on their breastfeeding journey and to be able to educate people on the truths about breastfeeding. Thank you ladies for making my drive into work an awesome one!
