I really like the interviews, and the discussions, and everything, but the hard panning of him to the left and the guest to the right make this unlistenable on headphones. I tried really hard, but I'm giving up.
Great info, Great guests
As someone who's learning as much as I can about composing so that it can be a post-retirement serious hobby, this is fantastic. It's got great information about various instruments, and the composers that Bret has interviewed have had insights that help you understand the works of that composer, and ideas of how you can apply the concepts to your own works.
I love this podcast and all of your stuff in general. As a composer and a high school band percussionist, it really helps me with my orchestration ideas. Although I’m primarily an orchestral composer, I’m still able to get a lot out of the information you provide.
