||CleanBartcast 01: Rev. Dr. Ulrich Duchrow - Luther, Marx, and the Church’s Resistance to Capitalism.||In our inaugural podcast, Ched talks with Ulrich Duchrow, professor of systematic theology at the University of Heidelberg, about the recent quincentenary of Luther's Wittenburg Door protest. Duchrow was in town this month to deliver a lecture at a local university (pictured right) about how Luther can serve as a resource for a radical critique of global economics and culture, particularly the role faith communities can play in social justice. He has written numerous books and articles on ecumenical theology, focusing on a liberative Christianity in the context of globalization. Here he talks about Martin Luther's critique of early capitalism, how it influenced Marx, and how it can help us resist capital-driven civilization.||11/14/2017||Free||View in iTunes|
