Description

1 phone call. 1 hour. No names. No holds barred. That's the premise behind Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People, hosted by comedian Chris Gethard (the Chris Gethard Show, Broad City, This American Life, and one of Time Out's "10 best comedians of 2015"). Every week, Chris opens the phone line to one anonymous caller, and he can't hang up first, no matter what. From shocking confessions and family secrets to philosophical discussions and shameless self-promotion, anything can and will happen! Theme song by Shellshag.

Cats hate it

Listening to this near my cats make them start fighting. They are both very passive, but during the first episode they started attacking one another for no reason. So it must be good.

geth knocks it out of the park

a real home run for the geth man

Phenomenal

I just finished listening to episode 1 and, man, it just hit me in the heart. I was in the exact same place as that caller was a few months before now and I know that malaise and depressing apathy that just clouds your mind and holds you back. Chris was a true gem to him and was the voice that I felt like I was needing when I was there. I hope that guy kept his promise and went to that open mic! I'm looking forward to more of this podcast!
