Every other week, hosts Jay Jones and Mike Christensen review two current ongoing comic books from our pull lists before diving into discussion of a classic - and oftentimes ridiculous - comic or graphic novel. Then we close out each episode with one of two games: "Super-Mundane," where we ask which super hero would be the best (and worst) at an everyday task or activity; or "Who Am I?" where we play twenty questions to try to guess the identity of a specific hero or villain. We hope you join us in celebrating the crazy and often hilarious world of comics!

Great Comics Podcast

This podcast is well made and extremely funny. I have fallen even more in love with comics and broadened my genres since I started listening to it. I cannot recommend it it enough for those just starting out or long term readers. A+

Good for hardcore and casual fans alike

As a person who is supremely invested in superhero movies, but doesn’t read too many superhero comics, I really enjoy this podcast! Mike and Jay are extremely funny, quick-witted, and knowledgeable, and they do a good job of making the content (and jokes) fully accessible even if you don’t know too much about the comics and/or characters in question. Their Poll Lists, as well, are very well-done and in-depth, and the games they play at the end of each episode (Super Mundane, Who Am I, Would You Rather, and more) are hilarious! Excellent podcast.

I floundered around for about six weeks looking for a good comic book podcast. I'm not steeped in comic books, when I found this show I hadn't even picked up a new comic in 10 years. The format of this show is amazing for a accolyte like myself. The Weekly Pull reviews 2 good comics every episode. I have picked up a few of the titles (Rat Queens, Velvet, Marvel Star Wars, Marvel Original Sin) all based on their reviews, and every one of the reviews have been spot on. Their storyline recap is a time capsule of some of the zanier story lines in comic history, and helps me feel a little more at home when my other friends start talking about old comics I didn't read. Super Mundane is just funny every time, I actually wish this was on every episode instead of every other.
