||Will the Real Islam Please Stand Up?, with Dr. David Wood||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank welcomes Dr. David Wood to discuss authentic Islam in light of the teachings of the Qur'an as opposed to the warmer, kinder view of Islam presented by politicians and the media. Despite the very real fact that there are multitudes of peaceful Muslims, David Wood points out that Islam means submission, submission to the teachings of Allah and his prophet Muhammad. According to many passages of the Qur'an, and under certain circumstances, the brutality of ISIS is exactly what we should expect. Hank and Dr. Wood also talk about the Charlie Hebdo shooting, the different factions within Islam, the perceived Islamic leanings of President Obama, and the fact that many Western Muslims have no idea what their religion actually teaches.||11/30/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||Best of BAM: Prophetic STARS, Islamic Jihad, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank begins with an overview of Superstar ABCs as delineated in his book, Prophetic STARS in the Constellation of Biblical Prophecy. Then, in light of the terrorist attacks in Paris, Hank discusses Islamic jihad. Jihad is perhaps Muhammad's most significant contribution to the history of humanity. It defines Islam, and it is the only major religion that has a developed legal system that requires mandatory violence to unbelievers. This makes Islam the earliest political ideology that developed terrorism as a policy not just a temporary expediency. Yet the squeamishness to identify Muslims as terrorists continues to be the bane of the Western world. Society is being swallowed like a python devouring its prey. The caliphate is coming, and the only solution is Christianity. Hank answers the following questions: How should I respond to those who misrepresent Islam? My nephew struggles with homosexual desire and thinks he will go to hell because of it. What Scriptures can I offer to help him? How should Christians respond to the war on terror? Should we pray for our enemies? Can you explain 1 Peter 3:18-20, and what it means that Christ preached to the spirits in prison? Is Molinism biblical? How do we defend the God of the Old Testament in contrast to radical Islam and peaceful Muslims who say there's no difference?||11/28/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||Is Islam Peaceful and Tolerant?, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank recounts his experiences with Muslims in Iran, at home, and at Harvard. And while an us-against-them siege mentality should be avoided, today's opinion-shapers are eagerly christening Islam as a religion of peace and tolerance. Yet if you look at the beheadings in Saudi Arabia or the burning of Smyrna and the massacre of its Christian inhabitants less than a hundred years ago, you clearly see the intolerance of Islam. We would do well to recall history when we hear the syrupy sound bites of Muslim tolerance. It is a myth. Western elites are bent on tolerance for all, except it seems, for Christianity. But we must remember that the only way a Muslim can be changed is by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Hank answers the following questions: The Bible often refers to dying as falling asleep; so when we die do we go to be with the Lord or are we in a sleep state? Are there any passages of Scripture on repentance and confessing our sins to a priest? Is the hat that the Pope wears part of Aaron's uniform? I came across a church that teaches you must be baptized in order to be saved; is this correct? Are there other forms of fasting besides abstaining from food? How do we "struggle with all His energy" as Colossians chapter 1 tells us? Are we going to go through part of the Tribulation or are we going to meet Jesus before the Tribulation? Is it okay to substitute grape juice for wine during Communion?||11/27/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||The F.A.C.T.S. on Prayer, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank reminds listeners that thanksgiving is inextricably woven into our prayers. Much more than simply asking for things, true prayer has multiple aspects to it such as faith, adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication. According to the Apostle Paul, we are to come to God overflowing with thanksgiving, knowing that He will supply our needs. We are to be joyful always, to pray continually, and to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for us in Christ Jesus. Hank answers questions on the following topics: If someone believes in God and the Old Testament Scriptures but not in Christ, will they still be saved? Must I be water baptized in order to go to heaven? Some friends of mine said if I don't get baptized, I will go to hell. What is your take on John 21:19-20? With the rise of the LGBTQ movement and same-sex marriage, wouldn't bi-sexual marriage be next on the list? If a Christian man commits adultery or gets a divorce, and repents, can he be restored to church service as a deacon or an elder? What are your thoughts on fasting?||11/26/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||Discerning True Islam, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank comments on the rhetoric we consistently hear concerning the religion of Islam. From the time of the Manhattan Massacre to today we hear over and over that Islam is a religion of peace. George W. Bush and Barack Obama both have made this clear, and John Kerry went so far as to say that Islam permits the practice of other religions openly and freely despite spending time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which only permits one religion. When we hear a cacophony of news anchors, politicians and Presidents, we need discernment to tell the difference between what is being communicated by our leaders and the truth. Although there are peaceful Muslims, Islam is certainly not a religion of peace and tolerance. Hank answers the following questions: I am married to an unbeliever and we have always had one income, but when I want to tithe it causes division in my marriage; so what should I do in this situation? In Romans chapter 1, does the discussion about men giving up natural relations with women, refer to homosexuality? Is this one of the reasons God destroyed the world? What is your opinion on Christians observing pagan holidays such as Christmas and Easter? You mentioned some things earlier about Islam and Muhammad that I think are untrue. Should Christians support the SCOTUS ruling on same-sex marriage?||11/25/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||The Prophetic Blind Leading the Blind, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank shares his thoughts on the heartbreaking reality that many shepherds today are like the blind leading the blind. The propensity to make end-times announcements and misinterpret biblical prophecy is seen in leaders from Hal Lindsey to Tim LaHaye and from Jack Van Impe to John Hagee. If it were only the shepherds who were lost it would be somewhat easier to swallow, but the millions of sheep that are being led astray is the real tragedy. The issue here is not loss of salvation but the loss of minds; minds that do not use discernment or proper hermeneutics. A correct interpretation of biblical prophecy, however, can not only avoid the silliness, but deeply enrich lives and equip them to be able to defend the faith. Hank answers the following questions: Can you help me understand the reference to Jesus as being the Son of Man? Why was the incarnation God's eternal plan of redemption? What is your opinion of the late pastor Chuck Smith and the Calvary Chapel association of churches? Is it legitimate to take Communion at home with my family? Can you explain Mark 13:31? What does it mean that heaven and earth will pass away? Is it not acceptable for women to teach in the church according to 1 Timothy chapter 2? Can you explain John 3:16?||11/24/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||Date-Setters vs Biblical Prophecy, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank comments on the date setting which has become the bane of Christianity in recent times. Who could forget Harold Camping who claimed we could know the precise date of the Lord's return based on Amos 3:7? According to Camping, Christ would return on May 21, 2011. After this proved to be wrong, new dates emerged. Jack Van Impe predicted that Jesus would return on December 21, 2014, and John Hagee claimed a world-shaking event would take place on September 27, 2015. In contrast to these false prognostications, true prophets spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit, thus demonstrating the precision and power of biblical prophecy. Hank answers the following questions: Does Matthew 7:21-28 teach salvation by good works? Is it okay for Christians to put up Christmas trees and Christmas decorations? What are your thoughts on TV preachers such as T.D. Jakes and Charles Stanley? How do dinosaurs fit into the creation narrative and biblical history? How should we minister to those who hold up signs on the highway asking for money? The Bible talks about not making images, but my grandmother had images of Jesus and angels. Is it wrong to have these images or to put a star on a Christmas tree? I have some friends who have gotten into 119 Ministries and have left the church. They say we should follow the Torah. What should I do about this? Matthew 21:22 says that you will have whatever you ask in prayer, but I prayed for family members and stood on this Scripture and they still died. Did I do something wrong?||11/23/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||Best of BAM: The Importance of Typological Prophecy, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank highlights the transcendent importance of typological prophecy as he explicates the "T" in the acronym STARS from his latest book, Prophetic STARS in the Constellation of Biblical Prophecy. While predictive prophecy is straightforward, typological prophecy is more complex. The familiar virgin birth prophecy of Isaiah chapter 7 was fulfilled in the birth of Maher-shalal-hash-baz in chapter 8, yet Matthew saw this temporary salvation of Judah as a type of the eternal salvation God's people would experience through Jesus the Messiah. Thus, understanding prophetic typology enhances the meaning and majesty of Scripture. Hank answers the following questions: I have some relatives who attend a Roman Catholic Church where they all use a common wine chalice for Communion. If they don't actually sip the wine, but only pretend to; are they really partaking of Communion? Could you explain the difference between the Protestant view of the Lord's Supper and the Roman Catholic view? Where did the Catholic Church get the idea that the priest has the power to create a miracle every time they celebrate the Eucharist at Mass? My church has recently made me feel uncomfortable and I believe God has drawn me to Matthew 11:17. What does this verse mean? I know the Old Testament prohibits certain foods; is it okay to eat pork and seafood? Could you explain when Paul talks about the different types of bodies and their glory? If an unbeliever asked me who Jesus was, would it be right to say He was God in the flesh?||11/21/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||The Ancestry of Jesus, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank recounts the amazing ancestry of the Messiah. Although the woman Eve was deceived and became a sinner, the woman Mary conceived and brought forth a Savior. God promised Abraham that through his offspring, all the peoples of the earth would be blessed. Therefore Ishmael, the child of the flesh was not chosen, but Isaac became the child of promise. It was through Jacob not Esau; through Judah not Reuben that the Christ was to come. And through the line of Judah came David, Israel's quintessential king. By the sovereign direction of God, Jesus the son of David was the only one who could walk through the doorway of Old Testament prophecy. Hank answers the following questions: Is it okay for a Christian to have a tattoo as a witnessing tool? Should Christians vote? I'm afraid of demons and even some rooms in my home give me chills; can you give me some advice? Shouldn't unbelievers first be born again before they become members of a church? What do you think about nonbelievers being in church leadership positions? What are your thoughts on the book, The 1000 Year Reign of Jesus Christ on Earth: Will You Make It or Miss It by Dale Sides? What is the correct translation of Mark 3:21? Should it be the word "friends" according to the KJV or "family" according to the NIV? What is your opinion on the teaching of Tim Keller? Is a divorced man excluded from being a pastor according to the qualifications given by Paul in 1 Timothy? I go to a church that practices slaying people in the Spirit; should I move on and find another church?||11/20/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||Change Agents Amidst the Jihadist Storm, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank discusses the cultural shift away from Christian principles towards secularism and political correctness that has taken place in Europe and in the United States, and the rhetoric that seeks to soften the religion of Islam despite the terrorism so clearly associated with it. Despite the changing narrative, Jihad is a highly developed system mandating violence against the infidel. So the question is: are we going to be Euro-cultural conformists or cultural change agents in the midst of a gathering jihadist storm? The consequences will be draconian if Christians do not rise up and learn to give an answer for the hope within them with gentleness and respect. Hank answers the following questions: I heard Jimmy Swaggart say that only hymns are Christian and today's Christian songs are not; is this correct? Does the current data regarding the age of the earth fly in the face of biblical evidence? I pray directly to Jesus, but which member of the Trinity should I address in prayer? Am I wrong to be careful about what I watch on TV and to warn others about it? What does the Bible say about interracial marriage? What are your thoughts on the Syrian refugees Obama wants to allow into our country? Can you explain 1 Peter 3:18-20, and what it means that Christ preached to the spirits in prison? Is Molinism biblical? How do we defend the God of the Old Testament in contrast to radical Islam and peaceful Muslims who say there's no difference?||11/19/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||Rightly Interpreting both the Qur’an and the Bible, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank comments on last night's O'Reilly Factor with guest Harris Zafar, National Spokesperson for Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA. In a discussion of Sharia law, Zafar claimed that stoning adulterers is not part of Islamic beliefs, but it is found in the Bible. Yet according to the Hadith, Muhammad clearly sanctioned the stoning of adulterers. And while the Qur'an is replete with violent passages, no where do you find Christians today beheading or stoning people who don't believe. The real problem is that pundits and Muslim apologists do not understand the art and science of biblical interpretation, and unfortunately, many Christians do not either. Hank answers the following questions: What is the sin that leads to death mentioned in 1 John 5:16? My nephew struggles with homosexual desire and thinks he will go to hell because of it. What Scriptures can I offer to help him? How should Christians respond to the war on terror? Should we pray for our enemies? What do you think of the book, Jesus Calling by Sarah Young? In the creation accounts of Genesis 1 and 2, did God create humans before Adam and Eve?||11/18/2015||Free||View In iTunes|

Does the little horn in Daniel 7 represent the man of lawlessness in 2 Thessalonians and the beast in Revelation? Is the man of lawlessness Nero Caesar? Was Mary pregnant before marrying Joseph? Was Joseph already married and Mary was his second wife? Can you address the idea of believers being priests? Is it a bad theological deduction to think that believers will work in restoring the new creation after the resurrection?||11/17/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||The Heart of Christmas - Part 2||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank welcomes back Jack Countryman to continue discussing how The Heart of Christmas can be more than just a devotional book, it can become a movement. As we prepare our homes for Christmas, so too, let us not forget to prepare our hearts for Christmas; to celebrate our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who humbled Himself and became a child to save us from our sins.||11/16/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
||Best of BAM: Prophetic STARS, and Q&A||On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank shares his thoughts on his latest book titled, Prophetic S-T-A-R-S in the Constellation of Biblical Prophecy. The Bible was not intended to tell us when Christ will return, only that He will return, nor was it intended to tell how to pin the tail on the antichrist. And unlike John Hagee's failed prophetic attempt regarding four blood moons, biblical prophecy always comes to pass. Ezekiel, for example, prophesied the unthinkable; the destruction of the impregnable Phoenician city of Tyre, yet Alexander the Great devised an ingenious plan to conquer the satellite citadel, thus fulfilling prophecy and demonstrating the Bible's unique prophetic prowess. Using the acronym STARS, Hank shows the Bible's prophetic superiority in a memorable fashion. Hank answers the following questions: Is it okay for Christians to participate in yoga? Are the parables of Jesus sometimes used for judgment? I hear you say we need to learn to interpret the Bible correctly; should I stop reading the Bible until I learn how to do this? Do you know anything about Holger Kersten and his book, Jesus Lived in India? My wife and I have a disagreement on the Bible's teaching on divorce and remarriage. Can you help us?||11/14/2015||Free||View In iTunes|
