Black Law and Legal Lies is a weekly podcast where Ann, an actual licensed and practicing attorney, and Dan, a middle-school dropout who is also an actual licensed driver, discuss various topics from legal and not-so-legal points of view. Subjects include trending topics, current events, black culture, anything taboo, and a whole slew of complete and utter randomness. Every episode will feature an Ask an Attorney segment where an attorney will attempt answering a handful of audience questions. Both hosts are equally experienced in law, but only one is an attorney. If I didn't know you I'd swear you were a couple of idiots! I actually still think you're idiots but dope show!

I like the concept.

I see what they are trying to do here. I think that the concept is somewhat unique and I completely get it. My only critique is that I'd like to hear more of the legal content elaborated on. Possibly get more in depth with specific laws and at the end, all of the ask an attorney questions usually end up being "you can sue anyone for anything" or "we don't have enough information". I'd like to hear you use what information you do have to come to some kind of a general but in depth legal explanation even if it isn't very specific. Other than that I find it entertaining enough to listen and I'll continue to listen for a while to see where the podcast goes.

Paid By The Pound

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to listen to Black Law and Legal Lies.

At first I was a bit apprehensive and put off listening to it because I assumed that it would be one of those uptight and stuffy podcasts that drones on and on and on.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that that is NOT the case. Black Law and Legal Lies is everything BUT uptight and stuffy.

To give you a better example it's like using your regular voice at home and with ya people vs using your "white" voice on the phone and at work. If that makes sense.

In addition to the show being hella chill and laid back it is also very informative. I don't want to say they "dumb down" the information but they do say things so EVERYONE can understand.

With each of the hosts having amazing personalities I felt as if I was hanging out with friends while listening to the show. They have a way of keeping you actively engaged in the conversation even tho you aren't an actual participant.

The content is dope, the audio quality is crisp and clear, and the show flows nicely.
