AFTERBUZZ TV is an online broadcast network, founded by E! host Maria Menounos and producer Keven Undergaro, designated to TV discussion and after-show content in webcast and podcast form. When fans finish watching their favorite shows, they can go online to watch or listen to an aftershow that features hosts breaking down everything they viewed, taking calls from fans and interviewing guests. The Boardwalk Empire AfterBuzz TV AfterShow recaps, reviews and discusses episodes of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Boardwalk Empire is a period drama focusing on Enoch "Nucky" Thompson (based on the historical Enoch L. Johnson), a political figure who rose to prominence and controlled Atlantic City, New Jersey, during the Prohibition period of the 1920s and 1930s. Nucky acts with historical characters in both his personal and political life, including mobsters, politicians, government agents, and the common folk who look up to him. The federal government also takes an interest in the bootlegging and other illegal activities in the area, sending agents to investigate possible mob connections but also looking at Nucky's lifestyle—expensive and lavish for a county political figure. The final season jumps ahead seven years, to 1931, as Prohibition nears its end.

More research needed

I just love the Afterbuzz format. I always get a perspective that I wouldn't have thought of on my own, or with casually talking to others. I like that Kevin knows so much about the 20's era. However, I feel like there should be some time in between the show airing and when Afterbuzz panelists discuss the episode, especially with this show, to get facts together. I think things get missed, there's unknown facts or misinformation and since this show is based on actual people and actual places that more care needs to go into getting the facts before the podcast starts. In the season premiere it's stated that VanAlden moved to Ciccero, which is outside of Chicago. Someone on the show said it was Ohio and couldn't understand how in the 2nd season finale he was in Ohio and is now in Chicago. Things like that annoy me and I'm sure annoy other listeners.
So, I think having an hour to do research before going on air would be beneficial to the listening audience.

Tried to listen to the latest episode "The Pony." Wearing headphones, Early into the broadcast they start YELLING and LAUGHING directly into their microphones blowing out my eardrums... so I turn down my volume, and all I can hear is the loud noises and can't hear the broadcast. Ruined my experience.

They can't help but giggle when they do a promo spot. Usually with the lamest segue possible. Its sad when a show of this poor a quality is begging for 5 star ratings.

Their opinions are obvious, and they miss vital information. They switch threads too quickly, because someone was loud enough to get their attention. They get completely off topic [not relevant to the show] (and its boring).

Afterbuzz needs to focus on quality, not quantity. So... Unsubscribed.

Turn the volume down!

I enjoy the reviews but PLEASE!! Turn the volume down! When you start yelling and laughing into the mic it's so annoying and way too loud! Please fix that!
