Description

Book Vs. Movie is the podcast that ponders the question: "Which was better...the book or the movie?" We spoil away the details, uncover the plot points, discuss casting choices and shower with praise (or pummel with snark) as we see fit. Hosts are Margo P. (She's Nacho Mama's Blog) and Margo D. (Creator of Brooklyn Fit Chick.com) and we are not afraid to tell it like it is!

the chat you always want to have with your friends

Just listened to the “Field of Dreams” episode, thoroughly enjoyed. Just a couple of friends chatting about a favorite movie and how it compared to the original book. Going to go back and listen to previous episodes now, great show! Audio quality a tiny bit muffled, but easy to get past once you get into the conversation. Keep it up!

Sublime content!

The Margos have a great thing going here! You can hear the passion in their voices as they take a close-up look at your favorite books/movies, and more. Some of the best content is what they find out while doing research beyond the film or book, like personal details about actors and authors alike. So, so good! My only quibble is the audio could technically be better, but the show is so good, these girls still get 5 stars in my book! ;)

Great Podcast Idea Beautifully Executed

How they get these shows out on a timely basis confounds me. Given the level of knowledge that the Margos demonstrate, the research required alone seems too daunting to accomplish consistently, but they manage to pull it off again and again. Their enthusiasm for whatever book/movie combo they are discussing is infectious, and they are not afraid to step out of their comfort zones (see the great Killing Joke, Dark Knight discussion). I listened to 3 episodes in a row and immediately subscribed. If the content weren't so good, I'd quibble with the audio quality, but I was over that after the first episode. Hope this on sticks around.
