Description

Not long ago, deep in the Appalachian wilds, a group of drunken misfits joined forces to play Dungeons and Dragons. Inspired by boredom and equipped with loose morals and a questionable understanding of the rules, our heroes venture forth to explore strange new lands. Gather up your dice, your manuals and your livers, and join us on a quest to make absolute fools of ourselves. This is Botched: A D&D Podcast.

Botched is NOT for kids

So, I have to say... I really dig Botched... it's not my first D&D podcast, that will always and forever in my heart be Critical Hit (A Major Spoilers Podcast). But I found, just like having two puppies, you love each one for different things. I love CH because I can turn it on in the car with the kids and not worry about anything really bad being said and it get's my son interested in this type of story telling. Botched, well, I love Botched because I can't listen to it with my kids - it's what I listen to when I want to relax and remember what D&D was like in college... which is sometimes a good thing, and sometimes a horrible thing.

TL:DR it's NSFW or kids, but if your not a prude - you'll probably love Botched.

Equal parts hilarity and mechanical

The DMs ability to carry a joke and the overall ridiculousness of the goings on of the party add a lot of charm. Equally impressive is how well the mechanics are woven in, it feels like a game of D&D with my college buddies over Christmas break when everyone else had gone home.

Love this podcast

I am a D&D player from the time before time (i.e. 1st edition) and the style of play is so much like ours. And the goblins language. That has "ring tone" written all over it. Just saying. 2 minutes of goblin spake at an end to cut an MP3. Not out of the question.
