Customer Reviews

A fresh twist on podcasts for the best show on television (period)!

Unlike other shows where actors merely offer commentary on select episodes as they play in the background, Kelley Dixon (editor) and Vince Gilligan (creator/ writer) provide insightful commentary on all aspects of the show. From discussions about how the writers breaking down episodes over the season to how music is selected for each scene, this podcast is always fresh and alive with discussion. Guests on the podcasts include Emmy-wining (and nominated) actors from the show, directors and music supervisors. Whether your just addicted to the best show on television or a budding actor/ writer, this weekly podcast is well worth your time!

Who are they making this podcast for?

Is it for the audience or is it for the crew of the show? This isn't a podcast, it's an industry circle jerk. You sit around congratulating each other and complimenting each other and giving endless "shout-outs" to countless studio executives, PR people, casting execs and other "suits" (by NAME, no less) that the audience could not possibly care less about. I'm sure the people you constantly refer to are thrilled to hear their names spoken aloud on a podcast, but speaking as a fan of the show I would much rather hear ACTUAL insider information and background information that would add to my understanding and enjoyment of the SHOW instead of a weekly reading of the "employee of the month" list!

I will never meet any of the crew members who are slobbered over every week on this podcast, nor will I remember any of their names by the end of the podcast. I don't care or need to know the name of the crane you used to get a particular shot. I don't care how much time you had to edit or who had to get coffee for everyone or how fabulously they did their job. How does any of that relate to your audience? IT DOESN'T!

Also, for the love of god, please invest in individual microphones for each person so that I don't have to strain to hear some comments and then get my ears blasted by the next!

It's such a huge waste, too, considering the guests who have appeared in some of these podcasts. Such great opportunities to really delve deeper into the character development, background, motivations, the story arcs, know, discussions that would illuminate the STORY instead of stroking the egos of the people hired to work for the show.

This podcast is a big disappointment and a colossal waste of time. Unless you happen to work for the show. In which case, it surely must be awesome.

Technical Adjustment

Great content, but not loud enough for a couple of likely reasons:
Turn up the master volume and (everybody except Kelley) get closer to the microphones, please.
