I just wish I'd found this Podcast sooner!

As a dad (I’m the same age as the hosts) of two young boys, this podcast has been great. They remind me that I/we are not alone in the world and that everyone else raising children are facing many (if not all of the same) hurdles. My wife and I both work full time and with two young boys, we don't get to socialize a lot and most of our best friends have families of their own and most live out of state or further so the opportunities for us to use our friends as “sounding boards” is tough (yes, I know about social media and email/phone etc). It’s also time consuming to interact via social media/email but I’ve found that Jeff and James through their Breaking Dads Podcast (as well as their “Epic Gumdrop” and “All Sorted” podcasts) will often reaffirm something for me or just as often may cause me to re-evaluate something (the something’s usually being something related to how I/we are raising our children) thus (to some degree) filling that “sounding board” gap that I didn’t even realize I had until I started listening to James and Jeff (across all 3 of their podcasts). I know they’re not “Professional” counselors or Doctors or what not but I’m also smart enough to realize that fact and as such, I take their thoughts/comments/views as they are intended – that being their personal opinions/views and not gospel. Every Parent should give Breaking Dads a listen. Thank you to Jeff and James for doing this and sharing your views and experiences with the world.
