Customer Reviews

I have been a dedicated podcast (and audiobook) listener for years. Brew / Drink / Run is one of my favorite podcasts. I am a runner, and a lover of food and drink, which is how I located the show. I am a gardener not a brewer, but I have friends who brew professionally and at home. Subsequently, the best aspect of this show is not the topics, it is the friendship between Lee, Keith, and Raymond. Lee is remarkably witty - sarcastic, but never in a passive-aggressive way. Lee’s “Beer Review Theatre” will make you laugh out loud. Keith is the most knowledgeable and usually does most of the talking, but his information and insights are so interesting the show never seems off balance. Raymond is an artist, professor, and traveler with an excellent (although dry) sense of humor, which complements the show perfectly. They have funny segments with tunes you cannot get out of your head, “We’re going back in time to Keith’s spreadsheet…” Yep, it’s the greatest spreadsheet ever created. They rarely speak poorly of a beer, and frequently focus on the positive which is nice given the unremitting lack of civility online and in media culture.

The low down: I have located, tried, and loved beers I never would have purchased if not for this show. Due to the knowledge and interest I have gained listening to this show, I frequently pair food with beer (as opposed to only wine). I now have a subscription to Noble Brewer because of an episode they produced about the club. If you like beer, or want to know more about craft brews, listen to this show; it is great, and the guys are great. It will not disappoint.

A little biased.

Okay, sure. I'm a host of the show, so I'm biased a bit. Recording the BDR podcast is one of my favorite things and I think it shows. My fellow hosts and our special guests talk about their running routines, new home brewing recipes and drink and discuss great beer. We're all still learning, which is part of what makes it so much fun. We don't take ourselves too seriously and hope you'll come along for the ride and subscribe today.

Best combination of topics!

I literally searched for content related to beer and running a few months ago- and as if sent from Belgium itself, apple recommended this podcast. Great beer discussions as well as running and homebrew talks! Bonus feature of great book recommendations! Need to send you some Maui Brewing to review!
