Ground breaking!

The concept of Brew Theology is simple, yet I believe it to be ground breaking and extremely vital to the Christian community on a number of levels! The Christian church as a whole can often be associated with an extreme lack of tolerance, deep seeded judgement and an overall zealous attitude, especially in the eyes of non believers. Christians often have a strict "box" we feel we all should fit into. i.e.) If you are a Christian you must also be a republic, against gay marriage, etc... Brew Theology breaks all of the stereotypes when it comes to faith, politics, and important current event topics! It allows people of all faiths and political affiliations to come together in a peaceful manner to discuss ALL topics, without the slightest hint of judgement or contention. I think if more people in the Christian community (actually ALL communities) took on this open-minded mindset, we would actually see true, positive and lasting change!

In my own personal theological bent, I relate to this group about as much as a tadpole relates to a Macbook computer. However, this review will not be written with the purpose of theological jousting in mind. I listen each week to Brew Theology as a pastor and aspiring theologian at a non-denominational church with a mostly reformed staff theologically (to which I would align as well) and each week I am challenged in my faith and pushed to be clear on my hermeneutics and sound in my doctrine. For this I am grateful for Brew Theology. In our current times people want to divide ourselves by beliefs, truths, political ideologies and theological frameworks, but this was not the desire of the Lord. I commend you, Brew Theology, on your concise and well-spoken expression of your theology and thank you for pushing this lover of all things Calvin, Luther, Piper and Spurgeon to grow in depth and breadth of his theology. In closing I say, "cheers and amen," as we reformed would say over at the Pubcast. Keep striving for Christ and in all things treasure and glorify Him.

Relatable and Honest

This podcast is refreshingly honest and entirely relatable. It is nice to listen to thoughtful discussion that does not exclude me with use of highly contextualized vocabulary or overly heady topics. Regardless of how complicated the subject matter is, or how nuanced, this crowd does their best at making it accessible to all who want to listen. It is a great introduction into deeper conversation, and also a great preview of the conversations that Denver Pub Theology has every week. Keep it up!
