Really good podcast dissecting shooter genre

I'm not the biggest fan of the shooter genre, but this podcast is giving me a lot of different and new ways to dissect it. The conversation flows naturally and it's like sitting with friends having a great convo about a topic you are all knowledgeable and passionate about.

Loving both episodes so far, and hooked for more. I hope there's many many more episodes to come. Also that they discuss the book Shooter or have guests on to discuss it.

POOR EFFORT

It sounds like somebody lost a bet and has to make the most boring podcast ever about a medium intended to inspire excitement. The hosts sound like they're on horse tranquilizers, and using a can-and-string mic setup.

It's nice for when your Ambien script runs out though.

Challenging Perspectives

I deeply enjoy this cast even though I often deeply disagree with what's being said on it. These guys do the legwork to challenge accepted knowledge on what makes shooters, and games in general worthwile -- and that often make it difficult to listen to.

But I in the end, I come a way with a better understanding of games as a medium. So ultimately I'm quite thankful to Bullet Points for providing a much needed different perspective.

One thing I will say is the perspective is overwhelmingly male and white. Would love some diversity in guests. The episode with Holly Green shows how even a little diversity can make a big impact on the discussion.
