I want to see this get better
I love Digital Marketer. I subscribe to their newsletter, I take there courses, and I even have a copy of Ryan Deiss' book sitting next to me at my desk! However, I am not as in love with this podcast. The information seems good and the interviewer seems like a smart guy.
The first interview with JJ Virgin was terrible. Virgin describes her career but does it in the most braggy way possible. She talks about how she bounced a $10k check, had no money etc and some one just decided to fill her bank account with their life savings just because "they believed in her". Literally 1 min after she talked about having no money she started talking about how she had the "tough" decision of flying in a private jet with Kiss or being on Dr. Phil... Or how she wrote a nutrition book and how "petty" people were to create a cookbook showing people how to actually apply the diet, not just talking about something theoretically. I just found no value from this interview, just someone complaining about their 1st world problems.
It may just be because its the first episode and they haven't really built an outline or style yet but I would like to hear either more engaging and relevant speakers, or actionable tips. I will listen to the next episode when it comes out and if it gets better I will revise my review. Fingers crossed it does because I think this podcast is a great idea.
The Ultimate “SmartCut”
I met Roland about 7 years ago and he quickly became one of the smartest people I know. The best part is that he’s as generous as he is genius. I’m one episode down...and already hooked! Thanks Roland :)
