Calliope, Boston's collaborative choral / orchestral group—hosted a benefit performance for the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans. All musical pieces performed that evening related to the theme of "Battle and Peace."

CALLIOPE TO PERFORM BENEFIT CONCERT FOR NEW ENGLAND SHELTER FOR HOMELESS VETERANS ON FEB. 16, 2008

With our country at war and the number of homeless veterans predicted to rise, Calliope—Boston's collaborative choral / orchestral group—will host a benefit performance for the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans on Saturday, February 16th at 7:30 p.m. All musical pieces performed that evening will relate to the theme of "Battle and Peace." The concert will take place in Cambridge at Sanders Theatre, Memorial Hall—a facility built in honor of civil war veterans.

The Boston Children's Chorus will participate in the performance, and a representative from the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans will speak about the organization's impact.
