Excellent first episode

Spot on example of what it's like being a medical student struggling with addiction. Wish there was more of this type of discussion around, and I'll undoubtably be sharing this.

Great learning tool, less than perfect editing

Fantastic learning tool and great supplement to the Bible of Emergency Medicine, Rosen's Emergency Medicine textbook. Although the podcast is one of the best around for EM education, binge listening multiple episodes becomes quite aggravating for a combination of reasons.

Co-host Adam had a tendency to speak softer and softer the longer he talks to the point I have to continually turn up the volume and rewind the episode to be able to hear the end of his sentence or point he is making. In addition to this, the intro music and transition sound effects used are SO UNREASONABLY LOUD I am constantly jumping to turn the volume down. The loudness is absurd. I am amazed each time I listen to a new episode and the sound effects continue to appear directed at making the audience deaf.

Chris and Adam, I love the crackcast podcast, but for the love of all things holy (my ears included) please find some happy medium in the volume of your shows.

Awesome for interns

I am a PGY-1 in a non-emergency medicine field that deals often with acute care, and I found these podcasts to be very useful, efficient overviews of high yield clinical topics.
