Just the right balance of photography and Gear.
There are a lot of photography podcasts that are all about the process and there are many that are all about gear. This one strikes just the right balance between the two. Check it out, you’ll probably enjoy it!
Excellent For Photo Fans of All Abilities
I'm a big fan of all three hosts of this show, following their individual websites for some time. That said, I was nervous about listening to Candid. Good writers don't always translate to interesting podcasters. And a lot of new podcasts sound pretty low budget as the hosts work to find their podcasting voices.
That nervousness was for nothing. The hosts sound like they've been doing this for years, and the overall production level is high.
So what about the content? I've really enjoyed the first two episodes and am eager to hear what's next. I appreciate how they begin with a shallow approach to each subject and let the conversation grow on its own. Some topics become long, deep discussions. Others only need a few moments of discussion. That's a nice balance for a pretty low-level photographer like myself. I don't want only deep, lengthy technical discussions of advanced topics but I also don't want just a general review of the week's photo news. Push my knowledge but don't talk over my head. So far, these guys have it just right.
This is a really great, genuine show.
No flashy tricks, no gimmicks to the podcast - just a great conversation between three people who are passionate about photography. I especially enjoy they very earnest opinion and dialogue around a range of subjects. Keep up the good work!
