Everyone loses. But some losses sting worse than others. This is a podcast about tough defeats. Hosts Sam Stein and Jason Cherkis talk to candidates who came up short in their bid for president, governor, senator and other elected office; those defined by YouTube moments and others who fell by painfully close margins. Looking back, these candidates give the listener an unvarnished, often-emotional picture of what life is really like on the campaign trail. Candidate Confessional is produced by Christine Conetta.

Great concept! Great execution!
Very much enjoyed this fresh take on politician interviews... If only they were this candid when running! Well done, guys.
I came for the original reporting and insight into the political process and stayed for the hilarious banter. The hosts are like a reincarnation of Clic and Clac — such a hilarious pair! Seriously, though some great interview guests. I especially liked hearing about how the Grateful Dead explains why Howard Dean lost in 2004. It’s not what you think.
Sam Stein is the bomb Dot Com
and so is this podcast.
