Everyone loses. But some losses sting worse than others. This is a podcast about tough defeats. Hosts Sam Stein and Jason Cherkis talk to candidates who came up short in their bid for president, governor, senator and other elected office; those defined by YouTube moments and others who fell by painfully close margins. Looking back, these candidates give the listener an unvarnished, often-emotional picture of what life is really like on the campaign trail.

The second season was terrible
The first season was interesting and the hosts were only slightly biased during that season. They also had a good mix of varying perspectives during it and most of the episodes focused on different aspects of running for office.
However, the hosts became so biased during the second season that they weren't even trying to appear neutral anymore, and the second season was also a lot less interesting, especially the special episodes that were about specific policies.
Excellent interviews. Can we get another season?!
Quality reporting that never shies away from the tough questions and asks their guests to do some real soul searching. I really hope they bring it back; my favorite podcast.
