Relatable

Love the theme song and family dynamic. It’s really great to have an audio drama with everyday people doing everyday things. Sound is used interestingly and well. Acting is good and the voices are distinct. Some of the narration — just a few spots — is unnecessary.

Solid

A great show about personal exploration and discovery. I love the characters and the mother/daughter dynamic (or lack thereof).

I’m usually not one for bonus interviews but I highly recommend them! Getting into the creator’s and actor’s heads about things is an excellent companion to the show.

Already hooked and sad about the end date!

I'm really enjoying how this story is unfolding. I feel like I know some of these characters and see myself in them as well.

Today I busted out laughing during the scene where Selah was releasing aggravation. A curious person nearby asked what was so funny, and I ended up doing some adverstising. I figured I might as well write a review here while I was at it. If you haven't listened to the interview with Jerrika Hinton, put that on your to-do list. It made me appreciate the podcast even more. The only thing I would change about the podcast is the breathing intro and outtro. I know it's about yoga, but I found it triggering. (That's my problem, but I thought I'd mention it in case I'm not alone.) The music by Ganessa James is beautiful. There is so much to this podcast...what a gift it is to be able to listen for free! Excellent production quality too.
